My husband and I like to try new spots to eat breakfast in Corona. We typically don't eat early, but our son does, so we share a meal. I'm not a sweet tooth type of gal, but my husband is. I was hesitant to get the banana pancakes, but I was like, ahh, not like I'll eat a lot since Im not too hungry. Wow! Just wow! Not only was this a perfectly large serving, but these are the best banana pancakes ever! They're super soft and fluffy and have a very subtle sweetness. Seriously, the best! I ate more of it than I thought--they were that good! Not only were these bomb, but our friendly waitress brought over a side of salsa to try, and that salsa was so flavorful with a good kick! I would recommend trying it with your eggs or hash browns. We will be coming back here again for sure!

Everything I've ever had here is great. The best thing IMO is the corn pancakes topped with chili. They do have all the usual breakfast items too but you can't go wrong with the corn pancakes!!

Came here to meet a friend of ours she highly recommended it. Great little cozy place with 50's decor. EVERYONE is friendly when we entered even the guest greeted us along with the employees. Looking at the menus I am. Going to order the Ultimate Omelette with toast and my wife is ordering a 2 egg combo with a side of pancakes. If you want to enjoy a real breakfast restaurant in the 50's retro look come in you will not be dissatisfied with service and the food

Went here on a morning when I was out and about running errands and responding to emails. I mention this because I sat at the bar for service and I was grateful for the balance between attentiveness and space the server provided to me. She made sure I had what I needed including refilling my coffee and bringing me water. The food did not take long to arrive after I placed the order. The servers were all friendly toward customers and the overall ambiance was homey and pleasant. I'd recommend this place, especially for their specials. Pop in here if you're ever in the Corona area. Definitely worth the detour off the highway.

This is our favorite place to go for breakfast when we are not working or we go on the weekends after church. The restaurant is like an old diner. We love the people who work there. The owners are so sweet and you can tell they love what they do. All their employees have been there for years and they are the best. The food is always fresh and delicious. They give great portions and it's worth every penny. Their pancakes are so fluffy and yummy. Their waffles are amazing. The pecan one is my favorite. My go to order is the ultimate omelette with added onions and peppers with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Overall, hands down this is the best breakfast joint in Corona.

I was recently in the neighborhood and stopped by before heading over to Treble Tattoo. I found SDPH via Yelp, and I was not disappointed! As I mentioned to my friend, Daniel L., via text it seems like the spot that locals know to go to. I sat at the counter and service was fast and friendly. I couldn't help but notice that the waitress appeared to know most of the people who came in on first name basis. Moreso, the place was packed --- at 10am on a Wednesday. I had the #2 special, which came with 2 large pancakes, 2 breakfast sausage, and my choice of eggs (scrambled). The food was delicious, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see strawberry syrup as an accoutrement. SDPH had an old school diner vibe, and I am here for it! I'm never really in that part of town, but if I pass by again, I would definitely revisit!

Some of my favorite places to eat have those limited breakfast and lunch hours. If you're open 6am-2pm you have my attention. One of those places is an old Corona institution and LOOKS like an old Corona institution when you see it from the outside. Located on 6th St, the Silver Dollar Pancake House has that old school looking sign (which probably used to have neon on it) and that rock exterior that tells you it's been around for a minute. Inside you're met with a large dining counter which is probably where the regulars hang out. Further in is the dining area which is covered in pictures of kids sports teams and newspaper clippings. The menu is large and features lots of ways to eat pancakes....including one with chili....needless to say I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with biscuit and gravy on the side. The steak was nicely breaded and the gravy they serve is very good. The biscuit was moist and was covered in plenty of that delicious gravy. Service was friendly and efficient. My water glass was never empty long! The Silver Dollar Pancake House is my kind of place. And for a lot of other people too. I came on a Wednesday morning and it was still extremely full. That said, I have no complaints. The food and service were really good. I look forward to coming back! Recommended!
